"Polymer clay combines the properties of two and three dimensional art. It fascinates me."
When I was seven years old I worked on a plasticine model of a horse in the back seat of the car on a particularly long road trip. The weather was perfect, the countryside was beautiful and I had just created the best little horse sculpture that I had ever made, but I was sad because I realized that in a matter of days my little horse would be a fuzzy lump of cat hair and sand. Life did however, continue. Many, many years later when I met polymer clay the memory of that trip came flooding back. I thought, “My little horse would be alive today if only….”
Polymer clay, like most visual art mediums, attempts to freeze a moment. For my purposes it does it very well; it makes me happy.
There are a couple of pictures on the "about" page, more pictures on my blog.
